Werner Nekes – exhibition at SHINY TOYS
German filmmaker and media artist Werner Nekes has produced about 100 movies since 1965 and is represented at various international exhibitions and retrospectives. Over the course of the last 25 years, he put together one of the most important private collections of pre- and early history of audiovisual media and media arts. the collection is structured by the principles of space and time and covers the last 5 centuries. Werner Nekes is, among other things, a member of the AG of New German Film Producers, the German Association for Photography and the European Academy of Arts, Sciences and the Humanities. He taught as a professor for film and media arts in Hamburg, Offenbach, Wuppertal and Köln.
