SHINY TOYS festival 2012

SHINY TOYS festival team is working on the next festival edition 2012 and visual-society.com is an official supporter! This year there will be two venues in Mülheim an der Ruhr at Ringlokschuppen and in Moers at Bollwerk 107, germany. The two venues will be interconnected by an artist in residency for one month.

SHINY TOYS promotes the work of artists who use analog and digital technologies to explore and cross boundaries in sight & sound. Artists who operate in the fields of sound, electronics, projection, light, video and film, will present their audiovisual projects that range from liveperformances to installations. Besides that, there will be workshops and of course the opportunity to discuss and exchange different views and ideas on media‐aesthetics.

Last year there have been some great live performances by Incite, Sculpture, 170cm, Pieces of Quiet, Tour de Vinyl and many more. Some ‚whistle-blowers‘ just revealed to VS that in 2012 there will be fantastic video mappings and more great performances and workshops, so stay tuned for updates 😉
